Born in 1970 in Kangding, Sichuan. A professional painter, He Bin lives and works in Shanghai.

He Bin, coming from a remote area of western china, focuses his practice on the urban iconography associated with Chinese teenagers. Borrowing his characters from comic books, video games, historical imagery and sci-fi movies, he immerses them into a saturated atmosphere. The contrast between his overpowering red and synthetic green is now a recognizable trademark for his work, both in China and abroad.
