Valérie Jayat, born in France in 1972, discovered her passion for drawing at a very young age and taught herself to master the art as she grew up. While developing her technique, she cultivated a refined sensitivity to line and color, all while pursuing a professional life outside the art world. Her work is nourished by everything that surrounds and moves her, translating memories, sensations, and observations into vibrant, poetic paintings.
Over the years, Jayat has received numerous awards for her artistic production, including the Châteaubriand City Prize in 2016 and the Jury Prize at the Salon de Saint-Aignan-de-Grand-Lieu in 2012. Her works are included in public collections such as the City of Carquefou and the Association Centre de l’Arche in Saint-Saturnin. Through her canvases, Valérie Jayat invites viewers to engage in a personal and imaginative dialogue between memory, emotion, and the rich expression of contemporary painting.
