This the latest monumental creation of Jean-Pierre Baldini on the theme of writing and the origin of the verb. The artist has deployed a magnificent monumental sculpture at high sophistical technique in this latest collection.
Once again, the artist puts women in the spotlight by making them sit gracefully and lightly at the top of this mountain of letters. It represents creation and freedom, in particular that of self-expression. This collection talks about letters, words and how we articulate all of this together to create a language, establish a communication, share a message. The sculpture contains a multitude of randomly placed letters, as they came into the hands of the artist. Some will see it as a code, others a key, still others a structured chaos. Baldini wanted to return to the base, to the foundations of our civilization, when man established his language in order to be able to communicate with other men, understand each other and build together.
As he says: “the verb is the way,…”At the technical level, the base of the sculpture is made of steel covered with thermo-lacquered paint, which is absolutely ideal for the exterior. In addition, the fact that there is so much space between the letters allows a low wind resistance and therefore a possibility of discreet fixing / stabilization. The woman is in bronze and her patina in shades of copper and gray is quite splendid. It's a masterpiece !
