In this sculpture it seems that the face is trying to bring the previous pages together with a delicate gesture of the hand. 

Hence the title of the sculpture - "background". 

We are the product of history that preceded us. 

This can sometimes be a burden, and sometimes a pride. 

Or it can be the source of mixed feelings that anyway we are viscerally attached to.

They are tangible books, with visibly engraved characters, yet the words do not clarify the concepts but, on the contrary, the words makes you imagine new scenarios, in a story to be discovered. 

The faces, that express the desire of communication, live outside of time and space, also thanks to the use of a tenacious and powerful material such as bronze, ultimately leading to the opening of unprecedented landscapes of the soul.
