Baldini's sculptures are rarely monolithic: a story is told when an external element intervenes. Here will oppose the strength of bronze to the fragility of glass. This series offers immediate sensitivity and sensuality.
This sculpture is older than the other collections presented in this exhibition. During this period, Baldini was fascinated by the alchemy that could exist between glass and bronze. Glass for its transparency and fragility and bronze for its opacity and strength. This work represents a woman who embraces herself around a phallic form. She represents the beauty and power of female desire. The fact that the woman is in blue symbolizes her "will". It is one of Baldini's most sensual sculptures. She is gorgeous from every angle.
