Watanabe deeply explores the role of color in conveying the essence of the world and its perception.
The details create more layers in the painting and define the state of the space.
It is a space of clarity and complexity.
The line expresses a sense of fastness and slowness, as well as hardness and softness.
It is also a symbol of clarity and a sign of ambiguity.
Color can either broaden or limit the sensory image created by the line.
What is interesting is that the experience and consciousness remain in the body of the artist, and through the dialogue between her and the painting, they unexpectedly appear as lines.

"In complex layering of colors, i sometimes see the movement that exists in the everyday lives of people and nature.Lines appear in and are absorbed by the ambiguous and undifferentiated mass of paint.
Some lines are alive, some are not, and i paint so that the lines can live."
