The Chinese New Landscape is an overlapping painting on a ultra thin rice paper.
At the bottom layer was a traditional Chinese ink painting of golden mountains and green water.
From that first base layer, LI Guofang makes his imaginative and impactful creations layer on layer, using new colors and various natural mineral pigments that outline a new contemporary landscape painting.
This new world is like a acronym for modern China. On the basis of tradition, what blooms is dazzling new colors and new lives that have been changing all the time. Surrounded by the old brick walls, there seems to be a new form of electricity passing through, beating rhythms, burning vitality, shining lights and shadows, modern cloud of information, and the fusion of all kinds of differences and contrast that make the world so magnificent and complex.
