"Winged", allegory of the free woman… the artist plays with the expression “A Titre D’Ailes” (A Titre d'Elle) by replacing the wing with its homophone "elle"… in order to underline the femininity of her subject.
The human figure is undoubtedly the great “constant” in the equation of the history of art; and the eternal dream of Icarus… but Hedwige Leroux takes up her female subjects! Under her hands, the woman blossoms into a rustle of wings. The wings serve here as a springboard for her feminine figure, they allow the body to go beyond the laws of physics and escape the aesthetics of a formal and spiritual rhythm.

The contemporary woman:
The creations of Hedwige Leroux come from a patient work of the earth, which she models with finesse, in view of the bronze. The artist plays on textures and marks her mark in the clay, giving life to fine and harmonious silhouettes, with an assertive presence. Resolutely contemporary, her bronze sculptures seduce with their elegance and fantasy.
Hedwige Leroux refined and personal style wants to highlight the beauty and personality of women in today's world.
