Jacques Van Den Abeele takes us to Argentina, in a milonga and takes us to the most sensual dance in the world: the tango. There is a deep sensuality in this sculpture. The movement of this man and this woman, taken together in this suave dance, touches grace and beauty. The way in which the artist portrayed this dancing couple touches perfection. The artist succeeded into represent through their posture the state of tension, relaxation and elegance that this dance arouses. We have to turn all around the sculpture, move away and come closer, pass through the voids left by the artist to stimulate our imagination and return to the material worked with meticulousness to understand the tension of the muscles, the arch of the feet, the details of the hands.
The artist symbolically represented 5 hearts on different angles of this sculpture, not with the material but with its voids, ... It is as if the artist had succeeded in capturing the most intense moment of this amorous dance and reproduced it with his style, his signature, in order to mark it forever in this noble and precious material that is bronze.
Look closely at their faces, the way they look at each other, their expression is breathtaking! Appreciate the luminosity of the patina of this sculpture and its warm and solar nuances. Take a step back, step by step, keep going around, you may feel the rhythm of this fiery dance and its call to dance.Exhibitions
