It represents a woman very dignified by her posture who looks at the horizon while standing next to a large and deep fracture on this rock. This work bears witness to courage and hope. Indeed, the courage to stand up straight when you have experienced a fracture in your life. Whether it is a loss, a distance, a fault, a separation, it always generates suffering. But not identifying with this divide and looking at life as it continues to bloom reflects strength and courage. This straight, elegant woman seems to be looking at what is in front of her. Without denying this fracture, we feel it is ready to move towards something beautiful, big and strong. This sculpture is very touching and the bright colors of the patina are splendid.
Provenance
In the series of "FRACTURE", Baldini took a close look at a subject he is very fond of: the balance. As he likes to make connections, ... he linked it to the concept of freedom. Always with a very sensual and graceful touch, the artist takes us on a contemporary exploration of our freedoms and their limits. He produced this collection between 2019 and 2020, ... quite a pivotal period in relation to these two themes!Exhibitions
